Fight to Save Our OHV Trails in the Arizona Strip

Help Join the Fight to Save Our OHV Trails in the Arizona Strip!

On March 9th, 2022, The BLM Arizona Strip Field Office closed access to 50% of our OHV trails under the proposed Travel Management Plan for the Littlefield Sub-region and Beaver Dam in the Arizona Strip.

Our newly formed Trail Passion Coalition appealed the BLM's decision. We disapprove of the BLM's actions and decisions for trail closures, and we are now waiting for the courts to make a final decision on the issue… See our Appeal document below.

How to Help Moving Forward

If you're interested, please join the fight and become a member! You'll receive further updates and news on the matter and additional issues and causes relating to OHV trail access.

We also ask the public and our OHV community to get involved by voicing your opinions and feedback to the BLM and local governments. Strength in numbers can create an impact, and we trust we can all make a difference! We thank you in advance for your support. Please click the link below to learn more about BLM's decision, and go here to become a member of TPC.

About the Arizona Strip Area

For those unfamiliar with this area on the Arizona Strip – it is a remote and rugged wilderness area that varies in elevation and terrain. This area has no paved roads; most are very primitive and unmaintained. When it rains (or any type of precipitation), it should be anticipated that there could be 8 to 10 inches of the worst mixture of mud and clays that lie in wait to trap a vehicle.

Did we mention there is no cellular service in this area? It is highly recommended to bring plenty of recovery gear (straps and shackles) and have a winch – along with multiple vehicles to help you once the mud has disabled your vehicle. If you are unsuccessful with your recovery gear, ensure you have plenty of food and water (and other supplies necessary to live in your vehicle for some time). Please drive safely and responsibly, and, most importantly, have fun!
